What is User Acceptance Testing (UAT)?
It is checking a system in the context of the business environment in which it will operate in, and demonstrating that the system is fit for use in the business
It is based on the premise that:a newly installed IT system or equipment may not be acceptable, even if it meets specifications
Therefore, it is imperative to test the system amongst real business users who will operate the system
These are typically end users and stakeholders such as: Staff, suppliers and customers
