All of these programs are designed for 
Supported Riders or Participants

Supported Riders or Participants are individuals who are unable to control their body in relation to a horses’ movement and may not stay fairly well balanced during the majority of any mounted activity. Supported Riders or Participants need significant physical support (a) during mounting and dismounting; (b) to stay in position or to adjust or re-center on a horse during any mounted activity; (c) during an emergency dismount and (d) may not be able to understand the possibility or necessity of coming into direct contact with the ground in an emergency.

Equine-Assisted Activities (EAA)

EAA are any specific Center activity (e.g. therapeutic riding, mounted or ground activities, grooming and stable management, shows, parades, demonstration, etc.) in which the Center's participants, instructors, and equines are involved.

Equine-Assisted Therapies (EAT)

EAT is treatment that incorporates equine activities and/or the equine environment with rehabilitative goals and the medical professional's standards of practice.
